    Delta Drill Press- new problem

Well in the process of getting the bearing off the spindle was damage. Now as I search I am finding it is an obsolete part.
I have been searching but with no luck.
Anyone know of a source for obsolete Delta parts?

You should find helpful info at Vintage Machinery / OWWM.

You might want to check http://http://www.renovoparts.com/a1...a-power-tools/ I don't know much about the company other than they make some Delta replacement parts.

Tried OWWM but they apparently locked my post out as the machine does not qualify for the site.

If OWWM locked your post, Your Delta is probably a Asian-Import!
Several of the import machines may use some of the same parts as Jet & Grizzly.

Post photos of the damaged spindle. There are methods for repairing machined shafts that may or may not work depending on the type and extent of damage.

Here's a link to a Grizzly spindle that may match?
    http://www.grizzly.com/parts/SPINDLE/P7943089

You could try to call their tech support & possibly check the dimensions.

Doug, I spoke with Grizzly and they will not do any measurements of parts. So I am taking a shot at this part.

Well it was worth a shot at getting the measurements!
I've found out that a lot of the Asian-Import machines use the same parts.

If it don't match up exactly it could possibly still work with different bearings!
Some of the older Delta & Walker Turner machines used bearings with different in-side dimensions.
The out-side bearing dimensions that matched the machine castings didn't change, But the spindles & arbors ID did seem to change.

That is what I was thinking. Fortunately I made a note if the bearing number before the "incident"!
