I'm making an internal door with raised panel on both sides - do I glue the backs of the two raised panels together or let them float independently as they fit into the grooves on the rails and stiles?

If possible, I would use stock for the raised panel that is thick enough to raise the panel on both sides of one piece.

Making sawdust regularly, occasionally a project is completed.
Option # 2 - let them float independently.
