    Help with matching a finish

I'm replacing my stair treads with oak and want to match the finish color to the current existing rail, however I can't seem to find the right stain color to match. Anyone know what stain would roughly match this rail color? It seems to be some type of gel stain(minwax polyshade?) based on the residue on the spindle. I've tried sedona red but it's too red. gel mahogany is more brown than the current amber looking rail. chestnut stain is a bit pale yellow, although I've only tested with one coat of wipeon/wipeoff. Thanks!

If you can take something with that finish to Sherwiin Williams they do custom match stain. They did it for me and it is a great match.
