This machine selling on Amazon and ebay for around 1800$ is a cheap Chinese import. Most likely not a real 50 watt but an over driven 40 watt tube which will probably not last to long. If your a tinkerer and not afraid to do your own repair work it might not be a bad starter laser, but don't expect to go into business with this machine you'll be in for disappointment. You should be-able to cut 1/8th inch wood ok but it will be slow. engraving will be fair but nothing great. Do expect to engrave beautiful photos on wood .
