    Drum sander abrasives

I am close to getting my first ever drum sander. What brand and type of abrasive is your favorite ?

I buy huge rolls of 3" from Industrial Abrasive and cut my own length.

Is that a typo? I see one 3" x 52yds at $60.80. Even still it is a good price for a reportedly good product. I'm going to give them a try next time.

Just checked out Industrial Abrasives, they look good.

What type of backing ? Cloth or paper ?

Grit type, AO, silicon carbide or what ?

They will also make sandpaper conveyor belts at any size much much cheaper then OEM. When I had a Grizzly 18/36, I think they were 1/3 the price. I haven't need one yet for my Supermax 25/50

+1 with Industrial Abrasives and cutting my own. I generally use heavier grits ... 80 and 120.
