    Beach Themed Trestle Table

The beach themed trestle table is designed and built to withstand the Houston weather. It is 39" wide X 90" long X 29" tall. All the wood is western red cedar and the top is 1.75" thick live edge. The center is filled completely through the thickness with clear epoxy and is semi transparent. There were about 30 separate pours with the shells, shark teeth, starfish, etc. layered at different heights so they appear to be floating in the epoxy. There is about 3.5 gallons of epoxy total. Different colors including some glow in the dark powder mixed in some spots as well at different levels. The led lights are mounted underneath the top so can be changed if needed or added to if wanted. They are powered by a 12 vdc pack attached underneath as well that can easily be removed to change the 8 AA batteries. Alternatively there is a power supply that can be plugged into an outlet. The whole table slab has three seal coats of Stone coat Counter top epoxy and the top has three flood coats. This was allowed to completely cure and then two coats of Gemini clear industrial urethane were sprayed. The table base has three coats of urethane. There are no metal fastness used in this project. This was a fun project, after about 120 man hours I'm glad it is done though lol!

    Forgive the poor photography.

Very original design. This table would look great in a beach themed raw bar.
