    No. Not that I've done a great many dovetails yet, but being half-Hungarian I decided to follow Frank Klausz's method and cut the pins first. Really does make marking the tails easy.

    Just like cutting tails first makes marking the pins easy.

    Pins first or tails first doesn't really matter and the results all end up being dovetails.

    IMO, folks should try both ways a few times to see if one works better for their way of working.

    I tried the 140 trick a few years back (already experienced in dovetails), seemed to add extra steps and discontinued.

    I don't use my 140 very much as it has a very bad habit of staining my material a bright red color.
    If the thunder don't get you, the lightning will.
