    Sandpiper Keepsake Box

    Hello all,

Here's a keepsake box I recently finished for my mother-in-law's birthday. She was quite pleased with it, which is a good thing

I detailed some of the build over in the Cave:

    Thanks for looking,

I like the illusion of the wet sand and the execution of the reflections. Very well done.

Excellent workmanship. It could never hurt to butter up the mother-in-law. What's the wood ?

Jim and Joe, many thanks for the kind words!

Yonak, thanks to you as well. The box is walnut, the background is sycamore and the birds are a mix of maple, walnut, and a mystery tropical hardwood.

    Best,

    Chris
