I'm thinking about building the 2" x 72" belt grinder shown in the following video designed by a young man named Jeremy Schmidt. Any comments or suggestions?

If you decide to build it add in some guards around those rollers and make a substantial base for it instead of 2 x ?'s and a clamp. Also be sure to wear a safety shield or googles when using it and when grinding the parts as you make them.

The machine was not finished in the video posted. I agree about the goggles/safety shield but it seems most of these bench grinders do not have guards around the rollers, at least not the ones I've seen. Overall I think Jeremy's design and build is quite impressive.
I really like his version because of the side tilt. As far as I can tell his and all the others on youtube are clones of the KMG grinder maded by Beaumont Metal Works. https://beaumontmetalworks.com/kmg-b...nder-packages/ John Heisz even built a wooden version that would probably be fine for woodworking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2mnRY4Xll0
