    Wood ID

    I have pegged this as mahogany. But there are 1000 different types. Can anyone tell me what kind of mahogany? Maybe it isn't mahogany at all.

    from the looks, it appears to be sipo, an african mahogany - sipo is a very 'heavy' wood. some of the other mahoganies are light-weight.
