Question Wetzler Clamps - Anybody use them?

Does anybody here know anything about Wetzler clamps? I have seen them while searching on the net but don't know anything about them or where they are sold. Are there any stores on the web that sell these clamps?

I know, I know so many questions and it is late to boot!!

Thanks,
Dennis

Lightbulb Dennis I remembered something from the Pond

I think Kim Carleton Graves likes Wetzler clamps. I've never used them myself but I figure if Kim likes them they must be good.
Heres something I found in the pond archives.

I have some

Dennis -

I have some - six 12". They are good quality, well built. Picked them up on a promotional sale. Haven't tried their bigger ones. I like the K-bodies for flat glue ups and cabinet assembly. Don't require pads between the clamp and the work.

I've got three

Well, two-point-nine anyway.

Got two 36-inchers at a tag sale and a 24-incher for Christmas last year from a friend who know I like old tools; this one lacks the little swiveling button at the end of the screw.

These are all very heavy, very sturdy clamps. I used to have a brochure frm Wetzlar; they weren't cheap, but they're very high-quality tools, if a bit old-fashioned in design (i.e., no sleek K-body stuff), an look like they'll outlast me and the next couple of owners as well.
