    Burls

I was given some burls by a friend, the large one I'll finish and use for bonsai display/photos. It's Cocobolo, as are the rest except for two furthest right which are unknown. The end cuts may become clocks or something else interesting.

    You poor guy

GIVEN burls like that? Your friend deserves a big thank you.

You, on the other hand, deserve to be gloating.

    Joe,
    That's quite a nice score!

I'd guess the left three are big leaf maple burl given where you live while the right two burls are probably from Australia. I don't see any that look like cocobolo but I might be completely off base. They all might be from Australia I can't really tell for sure.
