A late addition to this information - when red lining the contours (instead of bounding box) - it seems that only text that has been generated by ezcad can be contoured, imported text doesn't seem to...

I have recently purchased a 300w chinese fiber laser.
It cuts 2mm stainless no problems.

It has been a nightmare to set up and get running. Soon I will post the whole saga in a thread here....

+1 for ecut. Seriously good value for the number of macros in there.

Kev might be onto it. It could be that the 'steps per rotation' setting is incorrect.

I use vmware on my mac. Its awesome. Been usingvit 5 years now.
The only software that for some reason doesnt like vmware is Gravostyle.

The time machine backup feature in a mac is also a winner...

Hey Bill could you post a pic of your setup ?

Brass deep engraving and colour filling - to do a nice job you probably need to go a bit expensive.

Tool engraving can also cut out the brass - i do it regularly.

Tony, do you have trouble with the trotec red/white sheets not staying flat in storage ?

The 'new' cermark settles so much faster than the old type, lots of re-shaking on bigger jobs.

+1 on the ss nuts in the tub to help with mixing.
