Jim...Thanks! I believe this should help.
I'm assuming that you would drill a hole up the side of the box, bent the rod so that it goes up the side, thread it so that when you close the lid the rod goes down to stop the music.
But if...
When I placed my last order of clocks from Klockit, I thought I would throw in a few music box mechanisms. I'm not really sure how to install the on/off rod that is attached.
Check it out on...
I'm glad you guys answered the thread! I had no idea what options I had out there...sometimes I just jump in feet first without doing my research.
I think I have it now....I'll work the drywall...
My passion for woodworking has gotten the full part of me, but I have to admin the weather affects how I feel about jumping out there in my detached garage. I have found that in the middle of summer...
Wow, I tried a similar thing for my first major project. Not that I was green at woodworking, but this was when I decided to knotch up my hobby. First off, I noticed that it could be broken up into...
Kirk,
I'm so glad you posted this thread because I have the exact same questions. The thing is when you use the Ridgit (the Orange Loud Monster) I find my self constantly pulling out my...
Wow, nice site, and so many links. I guess that is expected from that area with all the furniture making places in NC. I remember buying my first bedroom set in High Point NC; talk about bang for...
Dan,
Thanks so much for the information; I'm very excited to find this club! I just looked it up on Google and it's not too far for me; just whip right by Jack Daniels and through the woods and...
Mat and Mark,
Thanks for the feedback. I hope I get interest as Mat says, it comes from people responding from my post, but to be a little more proactive I like Mat suggestion. There are...
This is a great woodworking site to share ideas and projects. I know that there are plenty other clubs out there that share their projects or experiences, but not sure where to look.
I'm...
Merry Christmas All!
I think I'm beginning to get the message, be careful what you ask for...and what's wrong with that when it's Lathe, or Spiral Head planer? Ok, now seriously, small time...
Great suggestions all...I even listen to Lowell who said that business will take away some passion and drive for woodworking. I suspect you may be probably correct, but I have my eye on a wood lathe...
Tony,
I'm going to jump on the Bandwagon here....Get the Spiral Cutter!!!! I bought one from Grizzley, and I have to say that it's my favorite power tool I have in my workshop. It is so...
Thanks Gary and Randy. I'm afraid the way I'll have to operate in the near future is by word of mouth. I'm hoping to build up a nice portfolio, so they come to me. My motto is not to get top price...
Tim,
Even my wife agrees "that's a good one". Just a quick suggestion for you, make sure that it has the date on it, so when she pulls it out of the ornament box every year she can beam with...
Dan,
Those are awesome ornaments! There are so many people here when I see their projects that I ask how do they do that. For instance I ask, how do you get the points so skinny without...
All you woodworkers out there that have had some reselling experience I want to hear from you!
I recently purchased my first clock parts and plan from Klockit, and whipped it out for a couple...
Van,
Wow, how can I pass up a deal like that! This is what woodworking communities should be about, sharing knowledge and helping each other out. I will definitely send you a private...
Don,
I just finished a couple of mantle clocks from Clockit. The plans I received were just drawings with really no explanation. I did try to read the ones they provided, but were missing...
Van,
Thanks so much for your summary. I consider myself a good woodworker, but still fairly new to the craft. I just recently bought a Grizzly 14", but I put the extension on it so that I can...
