Where would one order a new ruida controller? I just googled and amazon was the only one I found and it is unavailable.
I have a laser I bought in 2011 it is a re-badged redsail with a Ruida controller. The control panel buttons are working intermittently and I am having to run to the pc to start it every part. It is...

I have a 60 watt 600x900 and in 3 years have had to replace the tube (new tube is much more powerful than the original) and the roller wheels on the gantry wear very fast, they are available from...
Just had a similar problem with my re-badged redsail 60 watt, turned out the ground had vibrated a little loose. It is inside the lower right hand side door. It was still snug but not tight. I...
I make them quite often for a pub up the street, the customers take them with them. I don't seal at all as they end up being a single use item and it works out well as payment for burgers and beers.
I use a Jet 10-20 drum sander wit 220 grit, it only requires 2.5 inch in length and has very fine adjustment. I build 100's of 1/8 BB boxes with engravings and it cleans up both sides very well.
I use the method described on the Rabbit laser website It works fine for me, 3 years on the original mirrors and no problems.
Thanks Brian.

Thanks, is genuine mother of pearl cuttable with the laser?
I am going to be doing a set of boxes in ebony and need to inlay mother of pearl into them. It doesn't need to be real mother of pearl but needs to be thin enough to laser cut. I was thinking maybe...
I just lightly sand after. I use a festool random orbit sander and place the parts on a foam cabinet liner. Takes just seconds and it cleans up the engraved edges real smooth.
I have a turnkey laser that is very similar to a rabbit and am right behind Charlotte motor speedway if you would like to see one run. Just let me know.

Yes photograv saves a 1 bit B/W image for engraving. I find I get more detail from loading a gray scale into photograv vs a color photo. My turnkey is running laserwork 5.2 and the controller board...
Thanks. It's been fun trying to get the right process.
These were 96 dpi web pics. I opened them in corel draw and changed to 8 bit greyscale bitmap then saved and opened in photograv, I resized in photograv to around 6x8 and 400 dpi then used the cherry...
