Train plans have been spoken for.
I have some model train plans produced by Steamer Plans in 1990. It appears the plans are for: a Pacific 4-6-2, an American 4-4-0, a Compound Mallet 2-8-8-2, a Coal Tender, and a Caboose. My father...

I recently upgraded to a Shelix cutterhead on my DW735 planer. I have 2 sets of new DeWalt blades, and one set that has one edge that has had about 2 or 3 boards passed through. I am also including...
I have an older McNaughton mini/standard coring system for sale that has never been used. I purchased this from someone else who had never used it. After sitting in a drawer for several years I have...
Thanks for the ideas
I am turning a large platter to be hung on a wall. I haven't done this before and am not sure how to actually mount it on the wall. Suggestions?
Thanks,
Greg
I have both the Robust and Steve Sinner (Advanced lathe tools) tool rests and prefer the Steve Sinner rests myself.
I lubricated the locking mechanism and that seems to have solved the issue. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
Thanks for the information. I've cleaned the locking mechanism multiple times but never thought about lubricating it. I'll give that a try.
I have Robust lathe and am using an Advanced Lathe tools (Steve Sinner) tool rest. The problem is when I release the lock on the tool rest I have to hit the rest fairly hard in order for it to...
I had a monster system and converted to the Trent Bosch system. I think it is a great system, and if you contact Trent he will help answer any questions you might have.
Thanks Don, I pm'd you.
Thanks for all this information John. I'm actually attending a class at Arrowmont so that seems to be who I should contact first.
Thanks John for your information and offer. I'm driving and looking more for a bit larger pieces that mostly haven't even been cut up yet. Not sure if there are any arborists that might have...
I will be in Gatlinburg the first week of November and am looking for a source of some turning wood near there; maple, cherry, bradford pear, etc. I live in SW Colorado and basically only have...
Thanks everyone. I am looking for 20 gauge to start with, and I'm using a Razertip woodburner. I may get some 18 gauge also.
I'm starting to learn to do some pyrography on my turnings and want to make a couple tips for my burning pens. I'm not sure if all nichrome wire is the same. What is a good source for nichrome...
Thanks everyone for your assistance. I got the pump wired up and running, and have ordered the items to complete the setup.
Thanks all for the information. To wire up the pump I assume the ground goes to green, neutral to silver, and hot to copper? Hooking the pump up to the system I would connect the vacuum hose to the...
I picked up a gast vacuum pump, model 0523-V191Q-G582DX, which I would like to use for a vacuum chuck system. I know nothing about vacuum pumps and my searches have not given me the information I'm...
I had the full size monster system and it worked well. I sold it and purchased the Trent Bosch system and like it better. Just my experience.
Thanks everyone. Hadn't thought about the shellac which is a great idea.
