Where I grew up in suburbia SoCal and here in New Mexico backyard fences were/are the norm and originally built by the home builder. It would be very strange to me not to have them.
My first thought was that Newman was thinning the herd!
I've shared the side fence costs with my neighbors. To good side / bad side, flip a coin, that's never been a show stopper for me.
I grew up a fan of Zappa & the Mothers. Two of his albums, Sheik Yerbouti and Joe’s garage were a couple of my favorites. I saw him live in LA ~1975. Lyrically not for everybody but there’s no...
Sunday silliness
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!
Jim, I have two friends that have had knee replacements in the last six months. Both of them have said that it was not as big a deal as they were expecting, you just have to faithfully do the...
My Lagun mill uses R8 collets. That, and every Bridgeport I have ever run (dozens of them) that used R8 collets required a tap on the drawbar to break the collet free.
Thanks for the info Dave. That knee has a prior history of torn ligaments when I crashed a minibike on a gravel road as a kid. I’m probably looking at a knee replacement at some point, but it will...
I was almost a Vietnam vet. I blew my left knee out in AIT carrying an M60 up a steep hill in Nov. 1970. I was given a medical discharge “for the Convenience of the Army” I was “in” for a little less...
Thanks for posting that Jim. It took two sessions, but I totally enjoyed the video. He has a nice shop including a small CNC with a 14 station ATC that he designed and built. I’m surprised he doesn’t...
I had lunch at a Denny’s a few days ago and the waitress, aside from the forehead tattoo looked very similar. To each their own..
It sure is green! Very pretty!
There's a thread on the Vectric forum on the v12 upgrade. There's a lot of unhappy campers. I decided to stick with 10.5 for now.
There were very few car wash/gas stations around here. As far as I know they all closed down years ago. They have been building semi do it yourself “ride through the tunnel” washes left & right.
Your shop has filled up nicely. That is a lot of floor mats.
Back on track
Exceptional!
I am leaning in that direction too.
I absolutely agree with you. I ditched Norton 20+ years ago and remember an unpleasant fight to remove it from my PC.
I’ve been tossing this around since last week. I don’t use all of the features of 10.5.
I got one this morning. Generally all you have to do is look at the senders email address to know it's bogus. Gmail does a good job of recognizing junk. My Outlook account seldom spots them. As...
I sent my 1 ton lathe packing last week to its new home. It was fun getting it on the trailer! Note the once mine MM16 in the background. Package deal..
I hate borrowing tools or anything else. I typically will buy whatever I need when I need it. I will loan some tools out, (but not others) to a few trusted friends/family.
The downside to buying...
I had a MT chuck fall out of the quill while side milling on a DP. It got very exciting very quickly.
