I’m holding out for one in bronze. Managed to snag a bronze #4 two years ago.
Mine arrived yesterday. Getting the fence parallel to the skate is not easy. As in it’s rather frustrating.
There is considerable play in the rear fence rod.
A 3/32 ball tip driver is way...
BTDT. Left with less $$$ in my pocket.
I’m waiting for the 98/99 side rabbets to come back in stock.
If you find yourself anywhere near Millersburg, OH head up SR 241 to Raber’s Bike Shop.
Ignore the bike part, as the hand tool side will make your head spin.
Dan has pretty much anything and...
Don’t type blood and gore .com
That is NOT a hand tool website.
When I drop a plane it usually lands on my foot.

A Woodriver #6. Bought at the beginning of my wood mangling work.
You will absolutely hate that plane. Save yourself the aggravation and send it to me for proper disposal.
(I want one, but always buy something else).
You forgot the ‘fresh from an estate sale’ line.

Nice score! I’m about 100 miles se from you. Today was humid, breezy & 70.
You’re going to be stubbing your toes on those steps. The rise & tread combined should be 18” or so. With a five inch rise the steps will be awkward.
Triple check that the Incra is in the correct slot before making a cut. And if you cut angles make sure to adjust the arm so it doesn’t make contact with the blade.
:rolleyes::cool::mad:
Wife ‘made’ me buy some stuff, so I picked up a Record SC4 chuck & large cole jaw set.
Another vote for your mallet. I like it.
IMHO a bronze LN #4 with an adjustable mouth, like a custom Veritas, would be the bees knees.
Having said the that: Most my planes are Baileys.
I have all three. Once you get them set, and remember to hold the plane level, they do the job.
On the skew rabbett you need to make sure to loosen the tension screw before lowering the knicker....
Who has two thumbs and doesn’t like you?
ME!

Even with my limited space I’d have been on that deal like white on rice.
