John,
A road trip to the Portsmouth store is well worth it. They are great guys, and the display of power tools is beyond what you see in other stores.
I think that store is owned by the same people that own the store in Portsmouth, NH
I seem to remember one on the Wood Whisperer site, or something very similar.
I'll admit to being in the shop early in the morning, around 4:00 AM to get something finished on time and ready to ship, I work in my sweats in the early morning.
Not to hijack this thread, but;
Making some bowls I had the spring pop out of the plunge lever. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there sone trick to getting the spring back in place? I've...
Hi John,
Isn't Holderness where On Golden Pond was filmed? I've been through there several times, beautiful area.
Good luck drying your wood.
Do pencils count?:D
Timely post. I'm just finishing up a very large end grain cuttiing board for a customer. No matter the technique it takes time. I put some Grateful Dead on my IPod, and think of the process as the...
I changed out to a 3/16" Timberwolf and have had nothing short of torture trying to get the blade to stop running off the lower wheel. I've gone through the recommended Rikon fixes of adjusting the...
Same here, I just e mailed Bosch and they sent me the second wrench for free; works like a charm,
I would wager that if you wrote, or called, Tom he would issue you the 10% discount; you should not have to ask for it.
Although I have relocated my shop to Mass. I previously lived 12 miles from LN. I always received a 10% discount at the factory. I believe this is still true.
I just had mine cut to put the Jessem table on my 22124 Considered all the alternatives offered here, but ended up bringing them to a welding shop and had them cut on a power band saw for less than...

It's a Scott Philips show where he makes Treenware.
I just bought one at Rockler, saved $240.00, couldn't resist it:)
I'm located in Old Furnace (Hardwick) and will certainly check my schedule to see if I will be around.
I got the 17", I realize I can extend the present table to mount it if I have to. I don't mind rotating the table if I have to, I'm just trying to put off making another table top.
Thanks for...
My tools are presently in storage waiting to move into their new shop. I just purchased the LS Super System and am curious if anyone knows whether or not the 27x43 Incra table top will fit on a...
I agree, that's the first thing I always try. It works 90% of the time. You will have to experiment with which hinge to shim, start with the jamb butt, not the door.
I believe a lot of boatbuilders up here in Maine use either Sapelle or Sipo. I prefer Sipo, although it's not the easiest wood to work with
Still available, but out of stock. For that price I can wait.....order placed.
Gail, which lumber yard were you visiting during the "You Tube" video? I recently moved from Mass to Maine and miss Anderson McQuade.
When you get to Highland Hardwoods be sure to check out the "shorts" bins. I found some nice 8/4 and 12/4 mahogany the other day.
Charlie,
I checked out the video already, very nice. I'm on my way tomorrow to buy some birdseye maple to make a similiar bench using the birds eye and some bubinga, should be interesting.
