What an interesting guy.
I'm adopted, and i have some serious health issues which may be genetic. But i would never invade my birth parents privacy. That being said, i have opened my record now that my adoptive parents are...
Welcome back, George!
Are you being sarcastic? :-)
I have saws from LV, Bad Axe, and LN. My dovetail saw is the LV. A great saw, especially for the money.
Its not foolproof, but you can't get on my wireless without the MAC adress of the device being registered with my wireless router. Works pretty well. I also turn off SSID broadcasts.
A bandaw or a planer would my next purchase. Both get used a great deal in my shop.
I have the LV version of that plane. I sharpen the blade, put it back in the plane (on a flat surfacs) and set the blade flush. Then change the angle of the blade until it takes shavings.
I had two cats that I got when my first wife left. They got me throuh my separation and divorce. When I met Sandi, she told me she couldnt live with cats. I told her they were non negotiable. She...
I put myself thru university and grad school working for the university kitchen. One day, one of the cooks told his young student helper to strain the broth that was boiling in a steam kettle. 5...
Its funny. I know a couple who spent 25k Canadian on a kitchen reno. They are convinced it raised the value of their house by a huge amount. But...the fridge and stove/oven are on opposite sides of...
I think Dereks recommendation are spot on. I would add a planer as well.
You can configure a PBX to blacklist numbers. Or, require callers to enter a phone tree, which i suspecg autodialers have trouble negotiating. when i placed an asterisk box (ooen source lbx) in...
Packers, baby!
I have a signifant head injury, but despite that i dont have (many) duplicates. Just chisels. And hammers. On and saws.
I agree. Replaced it with a mortiser and a handsaw.
Oops, while trying to fix it, i deleted it! I was referring to the FMT. I replaced it with a tennon saw, and a mortiser.
I have admittedly poor grip (natural and as a result of a neck injury) so without help, I can't tighten it properly. Hence, the slots.
Slotted the nuts with a saw. Use a screwdriver to tighten. Works great.
This is an excellent argument for using open source software.
My $.02: the Narex are great chisels for the money, but mine needed a lot of work to flatten the backs. I wound up "lending" them to a friend one at a time, as I replaced them with the LV ones. Mind...
I have both, and I think they are both terrific.
Yes, it beats running IE, and all the spyware it is vulnerable to.
The main reason is that MacOS is built on FreeBSD, with a Mac GUI. FreeBSD is very secure, and difficult to infect with viruses. It's security model is much more robust than Windows. I still use AV...
Yep. And my experience tells me that a lot of people who swore "I've never had a problem" actually did. They were emailing virii to everyone they knew, and weren't even aware of it. I saw this both...
fWIW, when I was still in the industry, we found "free" versions of any AV (other than ClamAV, but it doesn't (or didn't) dynamically check emails) were pretty much useless. Yes, including everyone's...
