Anything good or bad to say about the Hitachi C10RJ jobsite saw? With my Veterans discount I can get it for about $300 or so. It will be rarely used more than 3 or 4 times a year. Given up on a decent used saw.

Run away.....
Bad fence - non standard miter slots (metric - just smaller than 3/4" so nothing fits) - poor customer service.
$300 is way over priced. I paid around $200 for mine 10 years ago at this time of year - right when I joined here.
I sold mine for $100 a few years later.
They aren't really "bad" saws, but, there's so many better ones out there in that price range - why aggravate yourself with that stupid odd sized miter slot?
Ridgid makes a much better one.
Home Depot also runs their job site saw on a Black Friday special ($299 last year) if you can hold off for a week and see if they do it this year.
Thanks Rich, that is exactly what I wanted to hear. Looking at the DeWalt DW 745 and now I see Home Depot has got it bundled with a stand for $299 called the DW745S but I am now wondering if its really the same saw??
Wow! That's one heck of a price on the DeWalt!
Bill,
If you're still in the market for a job site saw, Home Depot has the Ridgid for $199 the Black Friday.
That's a heck of a price for a pretty decent job site saw.
