What size is the setscrew for the stock Grizzly G0766 Live center to hold the point? I remove the center point when turning bespoke fountain pens to keep from creating a divot, and of course, the setscrew went into a black hole. Can someone measure theirs and ;let me know. TIA. BTW - see y'all at the TAW Symposium next weekend.
Well, I don't know if you can apply logic to this but on the parts diagram the set screw for the motor pulley uses a 3mm wrench. So does the center. With my (not any skills) and a harbor freight digital caliper I came up with several different numbers. I'm going to stick with 5.76 around 9.75 long. This is what it says for that pulley set screw- 88 P0766088 SET SCREW M6-1 X 10 Pretty convoluted logic huh? And I figure by now you have one or figured it out? I did actually measure the one out of the live center. I didn't even know I had one but I was doing some re-arranging and found it.
Thanks, Sam Fletcher. I actually looked at the stock faceplate which has 2, so I grabbed one of those for the time being. It's an M6-1 x 10mm dog point, so I'll go the big box store soon and see if perchance they have a similar M6-1 x 10 cup point to go for the live center. No telling where the original went - probably need to clean even more.
